Needham Police Log: Injured Biker, Stolen Sign, and More

August 4

5:30 a.m. - An officer responded to a Cabot Street business for a report of an unwanted female party. The party left the business without incident and was provided with a courtesy transport to the Auburndale MBTA Station.

9:30 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to Needham Pool and Racket for the report of a stolen sign.

August 5

6:15 p.m. - An officer responded to a Highland Avenue business for a shoplifting incident. The reporting person stated that the two men had just left in a black sedan. A search of the area came back negative. The manager believes two items were taken. The matter is under investigation.

7:20 p.m. - An officer responded to the area of Webster Street and Hoover Road for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a bicycle and a motor vehicle. The bicyclist suffered minor injuries and was transported by the Needham Fire Department to a local hospital. The crash is currently under investigation.

August 6

6:45 a.m. - An officer responded to an Eaton Road residence for a reported break-in. The incident occurred the previous day and was only discovered the following day due to light conditions when the resident returned home. Cash and jewelry were taken from the residence. The incident is under investigation.
