Needham Police Log: Larceny, Vandalism, and More

May 1
12:30 p.m. - An officer responded to the area of 201 Manning St. for a reported larceny. The reporting party observed a party take a piece of wood from a construction site. A license plate from the vehicle was obtained and the suspect was identified and located. This matter is currently under investigation.
9:00 p.m. - An Officer responded to the area of Marsh Road at Clyde Street for a reported suspicious motor vehicle. Upon arrival, the officer found unoccupied vehicle running in a parking lot. The vehicle operator, a Clyde Street resident, was located and spoken with.

May 2
6:00 p.m. - Two residents of Linden Street entered the police station to report a smashed out the rear window of her car from April 30. The victims report that nothing was missing and that it appeared to be vandalism.

9:45 p.m. - A female party told police that her vehicle was broken into at a Highland Avenue business in Needham Heights. A black leather Coach handbag was stolen with several other valuable items inside. The incident is under investigation.
May 3
11:00 a.m. - A 26-year-old Newton female operator was stopped on Great Plain Avenue for an expired registration. The operator was then summonsed to court for operating with a suspended license.
1:30 p.m. - An officer responded to a Second Avenue address for a report of fraudulent activity on a credit card. The victim reported that she had tried to renew her driver's license online but she went to the wrong website and unknowingly gave them her personal information. She was advised to immediately call her bank and cancel her credit card and let them know about the charges.
