Needham Police Log: Large Fight, Warrant Arrest, and More

July 29
11:00 a.m. - An officer responded to an Aletha Road residence for a report of attempted fraud. The matter is under investigation.

1:08 a.m. - Officers responded to Ray's New Garden on Chestnut Place on reports of a large fight involving 8-10 people. Upon arrival the fight had dispersed and all parties involved declined medical attention and were advised of their rights to seek charges in Dedham District Court.
3:11 a.n. - An officer responded to a Grasmere Road address for a report of taxi fare evasion. The cab driver reported that a white male party in his 20's got out of the cab and ran without paying. The suspect was described as wearing khaki pants, white shoes, and a black and blue plaid shirt. Multiple units conducted a search of the area, but were not able to locate anyone. There are no suspects at this time.

5:15 a.m. - An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Highland Avenue near Hunting Road. After further investigation an occupant, Richard Boria, 39, of Rockland was arrested on a warrant and transported to the police station.
6:20 p.m. - A Great Plain Avenue resident reported that his bike had been stolen. The matter is under investigation.
