Needham Police Log: OUI, Vehicle Break-ins, and More

The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

June 10

3:00 p.m. - An officer observed graffiti on the wall of a Garden Street business. The graffiti was photographed by officers. The matter is currently under investigation.

An Officer pulled a vehicle over for running a red light in Needham Square. After a brief investigation, a 48-year-old Dedham resident was summoned to court for not having insurance and running a red light.

June 11

1:00 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Chestnut Place address for reports of an intoxicated male trying to leave in his vehicle. The officer stopped the motor vehicle. As a result of the subsequent investigation, Myles Ogrady, 70, of Needham, was placed under arrest for operating under the influence. He was transported to the station.

11:00 a.m. - An officer responded to a Walnut Street. address on a reported theft of an Apple laptop computer. The reporting party believed that someone who had been through the house looking at items for sale had stolen the computer.

9:15 p.m. - While an officer was conducting traffic enforcement on Greendale Avenue, a Toyota SUV was stopped for speeding and an RMV check showed the vehicle to have a revoked registration. The operator, a 52-year-old Hyde Park woman, was issued a criminal complaint for operating a motor vehicle after revocation and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. She will be summonsed to Court.

8:15 a.m. - An officer responded to several motor vehicle breaks in the area of Great Plain Avenue and Fuller Brook Road. All vehicles were left unlocked and glove boxes and consoles were entered.
