Needham Police Log: Police Vehicle Struck, Vandalism, and More

January 23
A Stevens Road resident came to the police station to report that there had been an attempt to open a credit card using his information. Resident was notified by the bank of the attempt and card wasn't issued. Credit reporting agency notified.

9:45 a.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle for a stop sign violation. The operator, JenJeny Brun, 29, of Hyde Park, was and charged with a stop sign violation and operating a vehicle with a revoked license.
A Colgate Road resident reported that he was the victim of identity theft. His bank will be investigating.
January 25

1:00 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to Seadbeds Way for a report of fraud. The resident discovered that someone had transferred $1,400 out of her bank account without permission. The matter is under investigation.
1:20 p.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle in the area of 59 4th Ave. As a result of a traffic stop for speeding, a 32-year-old woman from Framingham will be summoned to court for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding.
4:15 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to the area of Highland Avenue by the Route 128 North on-ramp for a report that the Needham Police Speed Trailer had been struck. The vehicle fled the scene. The matter is under investigation.
5:45 p.m. - An officer stopper a motor vehicle in the area of Highland Avenue and May Street for a vehicle that failed to signal a left hand turn. A 42-year-old Needham woman will be summonsed to court for operating with a suspended license.
January 26
8:30 a.m. - an Officer was dispatched to a Perrault Road address for a report of fraud. On arrival, the reporting party stated that she lost her wallet on Jan. 20. Her credit cards were used to make purchases the next day. She has since closed all accounts. Advised her on steps to take to protect from identity theft.
1:00 p.m. - Officer responded to a Rosemary Street address for a report of vandalism. Two signs on the property had been tagged. The reporting party stated this occurred sometime overnight. The area was checked for any other damage with negative results.
