Needham Police Log: Porch Fire, Hit-and-Run, and More
The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

December 16
9:00 p.m. - Officers responded to a Gayland Road residence on report of a porch fire. The home was already evacuated and Needham Fire was on scene.
11:20 p.m. - An officer responded to a Highland Avenue business for the report of illegal dumping. The business owner stated someone has been dumping electrical supplies in the business' dumpster. The matter is under further investigation.

December 17
11:00 a.m. - An officer responded to a residence on Charles River St. for a report of a hit-and-run with a pole. Verizon was notified.

December 18
12:00 a.m. - An officer pulled a vehicle over on Chestnut Street for failing to use it's turn signal. After a brief investigation the operator, a 20-year-old Wellesley resident, will be summoned to court for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. A passenger in the vehicle had an active license and drove the vehicle from the scene.
