Needham Police Log: Shoplifting, Snow Argument, And More

The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

February 13

9:37 a.m. - An officer responded to a Reservoir Street business for a report of harassing phone calls. The reporting party said that an employee who was recently terminated has been making harassing phone calls to current employees. The officer spoke with the former employee and the current employees. The calls were not harassing in nature. The former employee stated he will refrain from contacting employees who wish not to hear from him.

2:33 p.m. - An officer responded to a West Street address for a report of a disturbance between neighbors. On arrival, all parties were calm. An argument had occurred due to snow from one neighbor's side of the driveway being shoveled onto the other's. The snow has since been removed. All parties agreed to stay away from each other.

10:00 p.m. - An officer observed a vehicle traveling on Highland Avenue near Webster Street with a non-functioning headlight. A traffic stop was conducted and following a short investigation a 35-year-old Waltham man was summoned to court for unlicensed operation and an equipment violation.

An officer was dispatched to Volante's Farm for the report of a shoplifting incident. The party was identified and served a no trespass order. The business declined to press charges.

A Gould Street business reported that one of their corporate credit cards had been compromised. The business is not being held responsible for the charges.

3:02 a.m. - An officer observed a vehicle with heavy front end damage parked on Great Plain Avenue. After subsequent investigations, the vehicle was found to have revoked registration and was towed from the scene.
