Needham Police Log: Shoplifting, Warrant Arrest, and More

December 18

A vehicle on Chestnut Street was pulled over for failing to use his turn signal. After a brief investigation the operator, a 20-year-old from Wellesley, was issued a summons for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. A passenger in the vehicle had an active license and drove the vehicle from the scene.

During a traffic stop on Garden Street, a 70-year-old Needham man was summonsed to court for operating a vehicle without insurance, operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration, and operating a vehicle with a revoked license.

A fraudulent ATM transactions occurred at a Chestnut Street business. The activity is similar to that which occurred in surrounding towns during the same time frame. The matter is under investigation at this time.

December 21

5:19 p.m. - An officer responded to a Holland Street address for a report of fraud. The reporting parties were advised what actions they should take.

December 22

2:00 p.m. - An officer responded to a Highland Avenue business for a report of a shoplifting in progress. The suspect, a 62-year-old Dedham woman, will be summoned to court for shoplifting.

5:18 p.m. - Police responded to 21 Woodbine Cir. for a legal process. Inside the residence, Ziad Alammani, 51, was placed under arrest for a probation warrant out of Norfolk Superior Court for failing to report.
