Needham Police Log: Slashed Tires, Stolen Bike, Break-in, and More
The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

August 12
8:15 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Highgate Street home for a report of a past vehicle break-in. There were several vehicles broken into at different addresses. The incident occurred sometime after midnight.
A walk in to police station reported that he was bitten by a dog at a Greendale Avenue residence. He sought treatment at a hospital. Animal control will follow up.

7:00 p.m. - An officer pulled over a Plymouth sedan at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Mellen Street for operating with revoked registration. The operator, a 48-year-old Needham man, will be summoned to Dedham District Court for the violation.
A walk-in at the police station reported that his vehicle was vandalized on Thorpe Road twice over the last week.

August 13
4:15 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to 1653 Central Avenue for a report of a slashed tire. The reporting person stated she had two vehicles that had flat tires.
August 15
12:40 p.m. - An officer on patrol in the area of Highland Avenue and Mellen Street observed a sedan displaying an expired inspection sticker. The vehicle was stopped and while conversing with the operator, it was later determined that he did not have an active license. This was confirmed with dispatch. The operator, a 27-year-old Somerville male, will be charged with unlicensed operation and operating a motor vehicle with an expired inspection sticker. The motor vehicle was then towed from the scene.
5:40 p.m. - A Needham resident told police that his bike was stolen from the YMCA on Chestnut Street. The bike was described as a grey Magma Excitor mountain bike with green rims. Anyone with info regarding this incident should contact Needham Police.
