Needham Police Log: Stolen Medicine, Illegal Dumping, and More
The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

January 1
10:00 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Clarke Circle address for a report of illegal dumping. The officer observed three trash bags next to the road that contained empty beer, liquor, and champagne bottles. Identifying information was in the bags. The resident admitted that some of the trash was theirs, but denied dumping it there. The resident agreed to retrieve the bags.

A Highland Avenue resident told police that someone had used his Citizens Bank debit card info to make some unauthorized purchases. Citizens Bank has cancelled the card.

9:00 a.m. - An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker. A subsequent CJIS query indicated the registered owner, Zibran Malek, 29, of Providence Rhode Island, had an active warrant out of Quincy District Court. Malek was also charged with driving without a valid license and an inspection sticker violation.
9:25 a.m. - An officer responded to a Tillotson Road address for a report of possibly stolen medication. The reporting party stated that their medication was supposed to arrive by mail last week, but it never did. The tracking number indicated it was already delivered. The Post Office said the package was in fact delivered. It appears that it was stolen after delivery.
A resident of South Street reported that someone had opened a credit card online with Chase Bank. This was done without his permission. He notified Chase Bank and the card was cancelled.
12:15 p.m. - Police responded to Chestnut Street at Great Plain Avenue for a report of motor vehicle into pedestrian. No injuries were reported and no one was transported. No citations were issued.
7:30 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to the area of 1600 Central Ave. for a report that a dog was struck by a motor vehicle. The dog was removed from the roadway by the owner.
