Needham Police Log: Summons, Fraud, and More

March 9

10:20 a.m. - An officer performed a motor vehicle stop on Central Avenue near Hunnewell Street for a number plate violation. While speaking to the operator the officer came to the conclusion that the driver was operating without a license. Juliete Serafin 34, of Everett, was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle without a license.

10:50 p.m. - An officer effected a traffic stop of a motor vehicle on Highland Avenue in the area of Webster Street. After an investigation, a 50-year-old man from Brighton was summoned to Dedham District Court for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

March 10

8:00 a.m. - A party came into the police station to report fraudulent activity. They stated that someone filed taxes under their names. They also canceled their credit cards. They have contacted all involved services and requested a report for documentation.

March 11

10:00 a.m. - An officer performing traffic enforcement on West Street at Hillside Avenue observed a vehicle with no front license plate. The officer pulled the vehicle over and after a brief investigation the operator, a 30-year-old male from Needham, was summoned to court for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unregistered motor vehicle, and a license plate violation. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

12:00 p.m. - An officer was Highland Avenue observed a vehicle whose owner had a revoked license. The officer stopped the vehicle on Highland Ave near Route 128 South. Following a brief investigation the operator, John Gearin, 50, of Lakeville, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license.
