Needham Police Log: Threats, Vandalism, and More

The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

December 8

8:30 a.m. - An officer responded to a David Road address for a report of a suspicious white male attempting to scam cash from a resident. No cash was given and the party was not located.

2:00 p.m. - A student at Needham High School reported that money had been taken from his jacket. The matter is under investigation.

December 9

An employee at a Needham rental car business reported that a front plate was missing from one of their cars. The plate was entered into the state computer.

12:20 p.m. - Officers responded to a Kendrick St. address on a reported disturbance inside a motor vehicle. The vehicle was reported to be parked in a handicap space. As a result of an investigation, a 25-year-old Westboro male will be charged for operating a motor vehicle after revocation and no insurance policy.
A resident of Marked Tree Road reported that someone had attempted to open three different credit cards using his identity. He notified the companies that this was fraudulent activity and the cards were not issued.

December 11

9:20 a.m. - Officer were dispatched to a Warren Street address, on a report of vandalism. Upon further investigation it was found that three teens had caused acts of vandalism to three separate residences in the area. Two Needham juveniles will be summoned to Norfolk Juvenile Court for malicious destruction of property and 1 Needham juvenile will be summoned to Norfolk Juvenile Court for malicious destruction of property and minor in possession of alcohol.

December 12

4:00 p.m. - Officers responded to Wingate on Highland Avenue for male party, who was visiting a patient, allegedly making threats towards staff. Prior to arrival, the party had left the building. All parties involved were interviewed and it was determined the male party was upset about treatment of a family member at the facility. No charges have been filed and the male party agreed to stay away from the facility.
