Needham Police Log: Trespassing, Larceny, and More

The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

August 1

5:09 p.m. - An officer stopped a speeding vehicle in the area of Central Avenue and Gould Street. An RMV check of the operator's driver's license revealed that his license was suspended. As a result, a 27-year-old Watertown man will be summonsed to Dedham District Court for operating with a suspended license and speeding.

4:00 p.m. - An officer took a report of a possible fraud from a party on Oakland Avenue. The party reported that he sent money via Western Union to a company claiming to be United Nation Funding. The party was advised to monitor their credit history.

August 2

8:30 a.m. - An officer responded to a Manning Street construction site for a report of a past larceny. The matter is under investigation.

2:10 p.m. - An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Dedham Avenue by the town line. After further investigation, it was determined that the operator of the motor vehicle did not have a license. The operator, a 27-year-old Quincy male, was charged for unlicensed operation and operating a motor vehicle with no inspection sticker. The vehicle was then towed from the scene.


August 3

9:00 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Great Plain Avenue business to speak with a party about a lost/stolen registration plate. An employee stated that sometime between 11 p.m. the previous night and 7 a.m. that morning, the registration plate on his motorcycle was either lost or stolen.

10:30 p.m. - An officer responded to a Marked Tree Road residence for a possible report of trespassing on a condemned home.The offending parties were advised to contact the Building Department and left the property without further issue.
