Needham Police Log: Trespassing, Vandalism, and More

The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

June 17

11:45 a.m. - While on mountain bike patrol, officer observed three youths sitting on the abandoned railroad bridge behind the Walker School. The location is separated from the trail by wooden fence, which wraps around three sides of the trail and then a 10 foot tall chain link fence. On the chain link fence was a large No Trespassing Per Order of the MBTA Police sign. Two Wellesley teenage males and a Marshfield teenage male will be summonsed to court for trespassing

8:30 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Fair Oaks Park residences to take a larceny report. The reporting party stated that he believes his wallet was stolen from his unlocked locker at the YMCA on Great Plain Avenue.

June 18

12:26 p.m. - An officer responded to Trader Joe's on Highland Avenue on a report of shoplifting. A 64-year-old Newton woman will be summoned to Dedham District Court for shoplifting.

12:30 p.m. - An officer responded to a reported downed tree limb on Warren Street in the area of Great Plain Avenue. The tree was removed from the area and a vehicle that had been damaged was able to exit.

1:30 p.m. - An officer responded to a Pickering Street address for a report of vandalism to a vehicle. The matter is under investigation.

1:40 p.m. - An officer responded to a Horace Street address for a report of identity theft. The reporting party stated that he received several credit cards in the mail that he did not request. He was advised on actions to take to freeze his credit.

3:15 p.m. - A Nehoiden Glen resident at the the police station told police that three potted plants had been stolen from her porch. The plants were in 4" plastic pots and cost $4 per plant.
