Needham Police Log: Underage Drinking, Stolen Bike, Gasoline Theft
A look at some police-related incidents in the Town of Needham.

The following incidents were published by the Needham Police Department.
8/6/2015, 11:53 pm: Officers responded to a High Rock Street resident for a loud party disturbance. All underage guests were identified and their parents were notified. The resident (21 year old male) will be charged for furnishing alcohol.
8/12/15, 9:30pm: Officers were dispatched to 984 Great Plain Avenue to investigate a report of stolen bicycle. Upon arrival I spoke with the victim. They state that around 1:00 PM she placed the bike in the rack located behind Marsala Art. The bike was secured by a coiled steel cable lock. The bike was discovered missing at about 8:30 PM. It is a red Trek mountain bike.

8/12/15, 9:39am: Officers responded to the West Street railroad crossing for a damaged gate that was struck by a motor vehicle. The operator, identified as a 66 year old Ashland man, could not stop his vehicle in time to avoid the railroad gate. The gate was broken in half and the MBTA was notified and responded to the scene. There was no apparent damage to the operator’s vehicle and he was cited for failure to stop for a lowered railroad gate.
8/12/15, 1:21pm: An officer took a report of a customer at a Highland Avenue business that had driven off after pumping gasoline and did not pay for it. The gasoline was valued at $2.59/gal and 14.93 gallons were consumed. The 20 year old clerk was able to get a plate number of the vehicle that had pumped the gas. The matter is currently under investigation.
