Needham Police Log: Vandalism, Dog Bite, and More
The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

January 12
2:30 p.m. - An officer conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Chestnut Street. After a brief investigation a 21-year-old man from Needham will be summoned into Dedham District Court for operating after revoked insurance.

7:00 a.m. - A party came into the station to report a past hit and run that occurred on Interstate 95 South. A report was taken and a check of the area for the other vehicle was conducted with negative results.
2:00 p.m. - An officer responded to a Second Avenue residence for a report of vandalism to a vehicle. The matter is under investigation.

3:00 p.m. - An officer responded to a Dartmouth Ave. residence for a report of attempted fraud. The matter is under investigation.
3:40 p.m. - An employee of a Highland Avenue business reported that someone had printed a fraudulent check with their account number and cashed it. The bank was able to find the check and has put the money back into the business account. The bank is investigating
January 14
12:25 a.m. - Officers responded to a Hillside Avenue address for a report of a loud disturbance. Upon further investigation it was discovered that an underage drinking party was in progress. The parents of the youth present were notified. A 17-year-old woman who lives at the house where the party took place will be charged with furnishing alcohol to minors.
10:25 a.m. - Washington Ave resident reported he was having problems with someone he had contracted to build a deck on his home. The incident was documented and the homeowner was advised that this appeared to be a civil matter.
January 15
2:00 p.m. - An officer responded to a Barrett Street residence for a report of a dog bite. The matter is under investigation.
