Needham Police Log: Vehicle Break-ins, Stolen Hubcaps, and More

The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

November 26

2:40 a.m. - An officer observed two males walking along Greendale Avenue. One of the males was having a hard time walking and he appeared to be stumbling. The other male appeared to be helping him. After investigation, it was determined that one male was intoxicated and underage and he was transported to his residence and placed into the care and custody of his parents.

12:45 p.m. - A resident on Oak Street reported that someone had used his debit card information to make withdrawals out of an ATM in Florida. He went to his bank to report it and they cancelled his card, issued a new one, and will investigate.

November 28

10:30 a.m. - A Deerfield Road. resident reported that someone had tried to scam him. The caller wanted him to put the money on PayPal to be retrieved. The transaction was stopped before it could be made.

November 29

6:50 p.m. - Officers responded to Spiga Restaurant on Highland Circle for a past vehicle break-in. Several items were taken from the vehicle. A subsequent investigation revealed two more additional motor vehicle break-ins in the same parking lot with similar items taken from the two other vehicles. The matter is under investigation.

December 2

2:00 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Pickering Street address for a report of a stolen hub cap. The reporting party stated that at 4 p.m. on Dec. 1, she parked her car in the parking lot on Pickering Street at May Street. At that time, she specifically noted that her vehicle had all four hubcaps. She stated that at 11:45 a.m. the next morning, she came outside and noticed that the driver side rear hubcap was missing.
