Needham Police Log: Warrant Arrest, Larcenies, Vandalism

A look at recent police-involved incidents in the town of Needham.

The following incidents were published by the Needham Police Department.

8/21/15, 8:15 a.m.

Officers responded to 711 on Highland Ave for a report of a fight in progress between two males. Prior to arrival, Officers learned that three of the suspects, two males and one female had left the area on Highland Ave. They were later located on an MBTA bus. It was determined that the three parties who had left the scene had assaulted a male in the parking lot of the business. All three suspects were identified and one suspect, Timothy Dunn (30 year old Needham resident), was arrested on a default warrant from Salem District Court. The victim did not wish to press charges.

8/22/2015, 7:30 a.m.

An officer responded to a Burnside road residence for a report of vandalism. Someone had spray-painted a fence on the victim’s property. The matter remains under investigation.

8/22/15, 9:00 a.m.

An Officer was dispatched to a Riverside St address for report of larceny. The reporting party stated that two items were taken from her front lawn yesterday. She was advised that if anyone turns in the item or if the items are discovered, she will be notified.

8/22/15, 12:30 p.m.

An officer was dispatched to a Highland Ave business address for report of larceny from a person. Upon arrival, the reporting party stated that she had her wallet stolen. The suspects then used her credit cards in Boston for further purchases. The reporting party was advised to cancel her credit cards, and contact one of the major credit companies so that they may flag any further fraudulent activity. Investigation is still on going.

8/23/15, 12:00 p.m.

Dedham Ave residents came in to the station to report that they had a bike stolen from their porch valued at $1500.

8/23/15, 11:15 p.m.

An officer conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Linden St. and Oak St. As a result of the stop, the operator was issued a citation for operating without headlights, Junior Operator Passenger Violations, and Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle
