Needham Police: Package and Decoration Thieves; Injured Deer Put Down with 'Two Shots to the Head'
The following are excerpts from the Needham police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Dec. 1
- At 11:51 a.m., police responded to 26 Seabeds Way for a reported larceny. The resident said that sometime on Nov. 26, a person took a FedEx package addressed to her. The value was $65.
- At 1:17 p.m., police responded to a report of a hit and run on Great Plain Ave. The caller, a local landscaper, said he was doing yard work at his house and one of his trucks was parked in the road. The truck was struck by a black Lexus registered to a Framingham woman. The truck had a scuff mark to the dump body and the car’s side view mirror was knocked off.
- At 4:57 p.m., police responded to a parking lot on Kearney Road at a Ali Technologies for a report of a hit and run crash. An employee discovered damage to his car upon the completion of his shift.
- At 5:15 p.m., a resident from Hemlock Street reported an incident of fraud. The payroll service at his place of employment had been compromised and fraudulent activity was attempted on his account.
Tuesday, Dec. 2
- At 4:30 a.m., police responded to Kendrick and 4th Ave. for a report of a deer struck by a car. The driver was not injured and the car had minor damage. The deer was put down by two shots to the head and put to the side of the road. A message was left to the DPW to pick up deer.
- At 9 a.m., a Gould Street resident reported that someone had stolen their Christmas decorations from their yard during the night.
