Needham Police: Payment With 'Obscene Writing' On It; OUI Arrest; Stolen Copper

The following are excerpts from the Needham police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Nov. 25

  • At 11:43 a.m., police responded to Needham Executive Center for a report of a threatening letter. The business received a payment form with an obscene writing and drawings on it. The writing was not threatening or unlawful in nature. The business had been sending bills to the wrong address.
  • At 1:12 p.m., police responded to 400 1st Ave. to a construction site, where reportedly copper wire and a plate compactor was stolen sometime over the weekend. It’s valued at $1,500.
  • At 3:25 p.m., police responded to a residence on Winfield Street for a report of vandalism. The phone line to the residence had been cut.
  • At 11:08 p.m., police responded to the area of South Street for a two car crash. Police spoke to a man who said he had been involved in a crash at the intersection of Burr Drive and South Street. A Needham juvenile was placed under arrest for OUI.
