Needham Police: Robber Takes Jars of Coins, Hides and Retrieves Them from Bushes

Tuesday, Oct. 7
At 10:15 a.m., police responded to a report from Avant Immunotheraeutics receiving harassing phone calls. There were a total of three swear-filled and insulting calls.
At 4:55 p.m., police responded to an accident involving a juvenile bicyclist and a motorist on Harris Ave. Both refused medical attention.

At 1:10 a.m., police ran a registration of a red Honda Accord parked illegally near Highland Ave. business. The registration came back to a trailer out of Gill, MA. The owner was cited for unregistered motor vehicle, uninsured motor vehicle and attaching the wrong motor vehicle plates. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
At 8:40 a.m., police stopped a car on Webster Street for defective equipment. The operator, a 32-year-old West Roxbury man, will be summonsed to court for operating with a suspended license.
At 2 p.m., police questioned the registration of a car turning into the lot at the library. The registered owner was suspended. The 36-year-old female from Framingham will be summonsed to court of operating with a suspended license.
At 3 p.m., police responded to a Hunting Road residence on a reported breaking and entering. The front door to the residence was comprised and the house was entered. several glass jars of change and $1,000 in cash was taken from the house. A neighbor reports seeing an older dark SUV pull over on the street and collect the jars from bushes adjacent to her house.

At 3:55 p.m., police spotted a car that had no rear window. They pulled the car over. Alredo Correia, 43, 58 Haskell Ave., Apt. 2, Revere, was arrested and charged for operating a car with a suspended license, and operating a vehicle with defective equipment
