Needham Police: Teen Arrested for Drunk Driving, Selling Pot; Construction Site Break-In
The following are excerpts from the Needham police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Nov. 27
At 12:58 a.m., police spotted a car speeding and changing lanes without signaling on Highland Ave. and Hunting Road. Police pulled the car over, and the driver was arrested. Daniel Mazo, 20, 52 Highland Terrace, Highland, was arrested and charged with OUI, marked lanes violation, speeding
At 7:18 a.m., police responded to 168 Brindle Trail Road for a report of a hit and run property damage. A mailbox had been struck with what appeared to be a MV. The resident wanted the incident logged.
At 11 a.m., a resident called the station to report harassing phone calls. The person also said that people are stopping in front of their house at all hours of the night.

At 12:20 a.m., police responded to the area of Great Plain Ave. and Berkshire Road for a suspicious vehicle. After an investigation, the occupant was arrested. Reginald Cange, 36, 701 NW 210 St., 420, Miami, FL, was arrested and charged with violating a town bylaw
At 9:05 a.m., police responded to a construction site at 400 1st Ave. for a report of a past breaking and entering. The building, which is under construction, was broken into sometime in the previous 36 hours. Nothing was taken and no permanent damage was done.
At 3:13 p.m., police responded to the Hess Gas Station on Highland Ave. to asset someone in recovering his mother’s stolen purse. The purse was turned in to the gas station attendants. It was stolen in Newton and it’s under investigation.
At 10:10 p.m., police stopped a car on Park Ave. near Webster Street. The vehicle went through a red light at Webster Street and High Street. A Needham juvenile was placed under arrest for OUI, minor in possession of alcohol, possession with intent to distribute Class D marijuana, and failure to stop for a red light. He was booked and released to a parent.
