Needham Police: Two OUI Arrests; B&E on Webster St.; Hit and Run
The following are excerpts from the Needham police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Dec. 16
- At 11:05 a.m., police responded to a breaking and entering to a car on Webster Street. The person said that it took place overnight on Sunday. A number of items were taken.
- At 11:10 a.m., police responded to an accident on Brook Street. The occupants were transported with minor injuries.
- At 11:35 a.m., there was a single vehicle accident on Nehoiden Street. The operator, Michael Kardok, 23, Needham, was arrested and charged with OUI and a marked lanes violation. At 11:55 p.m., police arrested Michael Kardok, 23, 55 Berkshire Road, Needham, and charged him with OUI, marked lanes violation
- At 1:06 a.m., police were called to 70 Sachem Road. They were informed that a man driving a car was drunk. Officers located him and Austin Cruz, 25, 70 Sachem Road, from Needham, was arrested for OUI.
- At 3 p.m., police responded to 631 Greendale St. for a report of a car that had struck a deer. The vehicle received minor damage and the deer was euthanized.
- At 4:10 p.m., police responsed to Kimball Street for a report of identity theft. A resident had a tax return filed under his name fraudulently.
- At 4:41 p.m., police responded to Highland Ave. for a hit and run accident. A driver hit a car and left paint damage.
