Needham Ramp From Route 128 To Be Closed This Weekend

NEEDHAM, MA — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has announced that the exit and on-ramp at the interchange connecting Route 128/Interstate 95 southbound with Highland Avenue westbound in Needham (19B) will be closed from 10 p.m., Friday June 9, through 5 a.m., Monday, June 12, in order to allow crews to safely and effectively conduct operations on the on and off-ramp at this location for the ongoing Add-A-Lane project.

All travel lanes will be maintained on the highway and Highland Avenue westbound during these times and the following detour routes will be in place for vehicles seeking to exit or access I-95 southbound at this location:

Traffic on I-95 southbound looking to access Highland Avenue westbound will be detoured as follows:

• Proceed south past Exit 19B to Exit 19A (Highland Avenue eastbound)
• Turn right onto 1st Avenue.
• Take the right onto Kendrick Street.
• Take the right onto Hunting Road.

Traffic on Highland Avenue westbound looking to access I-95 southbound will be detoured as follows:

• Turn left at Hunting Road (after the Highland Avenue interchange).
• Turn left at Kendrick Street.
• Turn right onto the Kendrick Street on-ramp to access I-95 southbound.
