Needham Student Completes Internship with Mass. Senator Ross

Dan Black, a lifelong resident of Needham, recently completed a summer internship at the Massachusetts State House alongside Senator Richard J. Ross.

Black attended Needham Public Schools until his graduation from high school in 2013. Black is set to graduate from the University of Maryland in the spring of 2017, with a degree in Government and Politics.

“Dan is a very hardworking and conscientious individual who has an exceptionally bright future ahead of him,” said Senator Ross. “Interning at the State House in a fast-paced setting can be tough, but Dan rose to the challenge. It was great having him this summer and I look forward to witnessing the great work he continues to do.”

The internship program, hosted throughout the year by Ross, allows for students to gain professional experience, listen to speakers from across government, and acquire a better understanding of matters impacting their hometown and the Commonwealth as a whole.
