Needham Resident Named Director of Communications For American Cancer Society

Rose A. Lewis, of Needham, will lead the communications strategy in all six New England states.

The American Cancer Society’s New England Division recently named Needham resident, Rose A. Lewis, as their new senior director of communications.

In the role, Lewis will lead the communications strategy in all six New England states. She will be based in the Framingham office.

“Rose brings a unique perspective to our organization and its crucial and lifesaving mission,” said Peg Camp, Executive Vice President, American Cancer Society, Inc. and New England Division Operating Officer. “She comes at a time of great opportunities here at ACS and we know she will be a valuable member of our senior leadership team.”

Lewis boasts an impressive background in journalism, with more than 20 years of experience in newspapers and at WCVB-TV.

Lewis joins the American Cancer Society from Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham where she was honored locally and nationally for several advertising and marketing campaigns. Prior to that, Lewis managed media relations at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington.

In addition to her work in the hospital field, Lewis is also the award-winning author of four children’s books, including The New York Times bestseller, “I Love You Like Crazy Cakes.”
