Needham Residents Donate Charlie Cards, Parking To Hospital Staff
BIDMC-Needham staff were surprised with parking spaces and MBTA passes to ensure they can get to and from work safely.
NEEDHAM, MA — Staff at Beth Israel Deaconess in Needham received a different kind of thank you from residents on Friday. Community members got together to donate parking lot space and MBTA passes to some staff members.
Some local residents donated personal Charlie Cards to ensure the health care workers can safely make it to and from work each day. The hospital shouted out residents and organizations on Friday in a Facebook post.
The Charles River YMCA donated parking lot space to hospital staff as well.
