Retirement Community Launches 'True North'
Investment of more than $100 million at Needham's North Hill will include new housing, community spaces, changes in the skilled nursing area and other amenities.

Seniors who live at in Needham were joined Tuesday, Nov. 1 by team members to launch "True North," in North Hill's 28-year history as one of the Boston area's leading retirement communities.
"Continuing care retirement communities sit at the intersection of housing, healthcare and hospitality," CEO Kevin Burke said. "The True North will impact all three and establish North Hill as the next evolution in senior living."
An investment of more than $100 million touches on all three key areas:
- Housing: new, distinctive senior residences; 45 brand new apartments; and new community spaces such as outdoor and indoor dining, retail shops, wellness center and more
- Healthcare: innovative technologies and the transformation of skilled nursing into a "small house," a re-imagined model of senior health care which places residents at the heart of the community
- Hospitality: expanded employee training and new services, amenities and experiences for vibrant 65+ living.
