Needham Rockets Receive All-Scholastic, MVP Honors from Boston Globe
A coach also won coach of the year honors.

NEEDHAM, MA - Three members of the Needham High School athletics community were recently honored by the Boston Globe.
Indoor track athlete Margie Cullen was named the athlete of the year, gymnast Caitlin Tormey was named an All-Scholastic, and girls' track coach Chris Van Cott was named the Division 2 Coach of the Year.
A long distance runner, Cullen won the mile and two-mile at the Division 2 and All-State meets. She plans on attending Georgetown University.

Van Cott coached the team to his first Division 2 championship. During the season, the team broke five school records.
Tormey, a senior, was named the Bay State Confrence senior gymnast of the year. She placed sixth at the Coaches' Invitational and won the all-around at the Bay State Confrence meet.
