Needham Sees Uptick in Graffiti

All the incidents were similar, police said.

NEEDHAM, MA — If it seems like there's more vandalism in town, you're not wrong.

The Needham Police Department's incident log for last week had a noticeable uptick of vandalism reports. While a report or two are typical, last week had seven reports of building that were spray painted with graffiti.

The incidents took place over two days, police said. Below are the reported incidents.

March 21

9:22 a.m. - An officer took a report of vandalism at Walgreens on Highland Avenue. Sometime overnight, the wall on the Highland Avenue side of the building was spray painted with graffiti.

1:22 p.m. - An officer took a report of vandalism at French Press on Chapel Street. The owner reported that sometime over night his business was spray painted with graffiti.

1:43 p.m. - An officer took a report at Treat on Highland Ave in regards to vandalism. The business had been spray painted with graffiti.

March 26

4:35 p.m. - An officer responded to Lapels on Highland Avenue for vandalism. This incident is similar to others that have recently occurred in town. The matter is currently under investigation.

4:35 p.m. - An officer responded to Supercuts on Highland Ave. for vandalism. This incident is similar to others that have recently occurred in town. The matter is currently under investigation.

4:35 p.m. - An officer responded to Fuji Steak House on Highland Avenue for vandalism. This incident is similar to others that have recently occurred in town. The matter is currently under investigation.

5:00 p.m. - An officer observed vandalism on the exterior of CVS on Highland Ave. Photographs were taken of the vandalism and the incident is currently under investigation.
