Needham's PTC Moving To Boston Seaport
The company is planning on packing their bags and moving to the Seaport District.

NEEDHAM, MA — A company with a location right off of Route 128 will soon move to Boston.
PTC announced plans Thursday to move more than 1,000 employees to Boston's Seaport District. The move is planned for 2019, according to a press release.
“There are few places in the world that can lay claim to as many ‘firsts’ as Boston,” PTC CEO Jim Heppelmann said in a release. “It is clear that this region has the opportunity to yet again become a beacon of innovation in technologies as disruptive as the Internet of Things and Augmented Reality. At PTC, we aim to be a catalyst to extend Boston’s global reputation as a hub for technology leadership.”

PTC will occupy the first half of a 17-story business recently constructed at 121 Seaport Blvd. The company said in their release that the move will allow them to enhance its ability to attract and retain the talent required to maintain the company’s technology leadership position.
Founded in 1985, PTC is a software company with more than 6,000 employees worldwide.
