New Rt. 128 Ramps In Needham Opening Friday
Expect a new traffic configuration and some impacts.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has announced it will open two new on and off-ramps as well as a distributor roadway on Route 128/I-95 north and southbound in the area of the Kendrick Street Bridge in Needham beginning at 8 p.m., Dec. 1
These ramp openings and the new traffic configuration are being implemented as part of the ongoing Add-A-Lane project.

The following ramps and routes will be fully available for travel by the morning of Saturday, December 2:
- The on-ramp from Kendrick Street westbound to Route 128/I-95 northbound
- The off-ramp from Route 128/I-95 southbound to Kendrick Street east and westbound
- The southbound collector distributor roadway between Highland Avenue and Kendrick Street
Drivers are encouraged to make informed decisions before heading out onto the roadways. Appropriate signage and messaging will be in place to guide drivers during these operations.

All scheduled work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
