Newton Company Files Lawsuit Over Needham Crossing Expansion

Newton-based Intrum has filed a lawsuit over the impacts of the Needham Crossing expansion.

The Needham Crossing expansion has been challenged by a Newton-based company, halting the project.

Intrum, which owns a building abutting the project, said in a lawsuit that officials in Needham failed to consider the negative impacts of the project, according to Bankers and Tradesman. The lawsuit specifically brings attention to a proposed seven-story parking garage described as “arbitrary, capricious and to the substantial damage and detriment of the plaintiff in the neighborhood.
