NHS 2012 Graduation Moved to Babson College

With rain in the forecast throughout the day, will be holding its Class of 2102 graduation exercises indoors tonight, in the Pepsico Pavillion at .

Doors open at 5:15 p.m., with the faculty, staff, and student procession to begin at 6 p.m. Because seating is limited indoors, only guests with tickets will be admitted. Last week, each graduating student received four guest tickets in case of an indoor ceremony.

NHS Principal Jonathan Pizzi provided the following tips and guidelines Monday morning for the evening graduation.

Student/Graduate Information

• 12:30-2 p.m. Graduation Rehearsal at Pepsico Pavillion, Babson College
• 4:15 p.m. Students report to the B Gym with academic attire and line up for attendance; students board buses.
• 4:30 p.m. Buses depart for Babson College
• 6 p.m. Procession/ceremony begins.

Important notes:

• Graduates must attend rehearsal in order to take part in the ceremony.

• Graduate busing to Babson is one-way, so graduates will need transportation from Babson College after the ceremony.

• Each student has received four guest tickets.

Guest Information

•Doors open at 5:15. Seating is limited; only ticketed guests please.

• Please leave ample time to park and to enter the Pepsico Pavillion (Building #30 on attached campus map in the image gallery above).

• Because of limited parking and heavy traffic, carpooling is strongly recommended.

• Parking is not permitted in Lot K (see campus map).

Faculty and Staff Information

• 3:30 p.m. PTC-sponsored pre-graduation reception for faculty and staff in the NHS Cafeteria
• 4:15 p.m. Faculty and staff report to B Gym with academic attire to board shuttle to Babson College.
• 4:45 p.m. Faculty/staff shuttle leaves for Babson College.
• 5:45 p.m. Line-up for faculty procession

Important notes:

• Due to limited parking and heavy traffic, faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to use the shuttles provided.

• Shuttles will return to Needham High School 15 minutes following the conclusion of the ceremony.

• After the recessional, academic attire should be returned to Jonathan Bourn.
