Online Travel Mag Mocks Needham

There’s nothing unusual about having a love/hate attitude about your hometown. Of course, some people lean harder toward the dark side of the spectrum than others.

Online travel and food magazine Thrillist published an article titled “Does Your Boston Suburb Suck? An Investigation,” that mixes good-humored ribbing with fairly tasteless slights from former (current?) Boston suburbanites. For better or worse, it critiques a substantial portion of Eastern Mass. towns.

Here’s what Thrillist had to say about Needham...

“This is the suburb for white-collar professional families that want a slightly lower price point than Wellesley and at least one more Not Your Average Joe’s. Slightly above-average sandwiches at Cowlicks, though!”

What do you think? Is Needham defined by white-collar families and the mentioned food spots or is Thrillist just being jerks?
