Operating To Endanger, Fraud, And More: Needham Police Log

July 29

2:30 p.m. - A Chestnut Street resident reported that she was the victim of fraud.

July 30

5:30 a.m. - An officer observed a vehicle that had crashed into trees off of Central Avenue near the Recycle Transfer Station. No operator was found in the immediate area. The operator called the station at 8:00 p.m. to report the crash The 24-year-old Brockton man was informed that that based on observations of the crash scene, the items recovered from his motor vehicle, his statements that he had been operating the vehicle, had been its sole occupant, and had left the scene of the crash, that he would be charged with marked lanes violation, operating to endanger, carrying a dangerous weapon, speeding, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, and possession of an open container of marijuana in a motor vehicle.

11:45 a.m. - An officer observed multiple parties attempting to gain access to the train tracks over Dedham Avenue. The incident is still under investigation.

7:30 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to the intersection of Dedham Avenue and South Street for an injured deer.

6:05 p.m. - An officer responded to a Central Ave address for a report of a possible past larceny. The matter is currently under investigation.
