OUI, Fake Ad For Concert Tickets, And More: Needham Police Log

June 27
8:30 p.m. - An Oxbow Road resident walked into the police station to report lost property. The victim stated that within the past couple of months she lost her diamond jewelry. The victim stated she has contacted her insurance company.
8:30 p.m. - A Curve Street resident walked into the police station to report a past credit card fraud. The victim stated that someone applied for a Home Depot credit card online under his name and made purchases. The merchandise was shipped to a NY address. The victim contacted his bank, filled out an affidavit of fraud, and filed a report with Experian Credit Bureau and his accounts will be put on alert.

June 28
12:45 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to the area of Glendoon Road and Great Plain Avenue for a possible hit-and-run involving a pedestrian that had been called in by an off-duty officer at the time of the incident. On arrival, it was determined that the operator of the vehicle had not been struck by a vehicle in Needham at all but that she had been in a motor vehicle crash that occurred somewhere on Interstate 495. The operator, Katherine Heath, 32, of Holliston, was determined to be the under the influence of alcohol and was placed under arrest for an OUI.

7:00 p.m. - A Thornton Road resident told police that he answered an ad on Craigslist. The resident paid $640 via Western Union for four concert tickets to a concert on June 25. He never received said tickets and a follow up with Western Union proved to be unsuccessful.
8:10 p.m. - A Greendale Avenue resident told police that money was stolen from her pocketbook while she was working at a business on Highland Avenue.
