OUI, Shoplifting, and More: Needham Police Log

April 19
A resident of Utica Road reported that they received a letter from Tempur-Pedic reporting that their accounts had been breached and her credit card info may be compromised. She notified Discover, they canceled her account, and a new card was issued.

4:25 p.m. - An officer responded to the area of Chestnut Street and Freeman Place on a reported loose dog running in traffic. A witness stated that the dog ran down Marsh Road. A male approached the officer and report that he was bitten by the dog. There were puncture wounds and he was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Needham. The dog was not captured. The matter is under investigation.
6:00 p.m. - Officers responded to a shoplifting report on Highland Avenue. After an investigation, a 41-year-old Newton woman was summonsed to Dedham District Court for shoplifting.

April 21
11:10 a.m. - A person at the police station reported identity theft. She will return with the necessary documents.
April 22
4:54 p.m. - An officer responded to a report of shoplifting on Highland Avenue. The reporting party said there were two females in the store together, one of which was observed concealing merchandise in her purse. Both female parties involved were identified. The two women were issued a no trespass order from the store and left without further issue.
