OUI, Vandalism, And More: Needham Police Log

August 15

4:40 p.m. - During a traffic stop, a 31-year-old Framingham man was cited and will be summoned to Dedham District Court for operating with a suspended license. His wife drove the vehicle away.

August 16

4:30 p.m. - An officer conducted a traffic stop on Chestnut Street for an expired registration. Dispatch reported that the owner had a suspended license. A 33-year-old woman from Dedham was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and expired registration.

August 17

4:30 p.m. - An officer was conducting selective traffic enforcement on Great Plain Avenue Following a motor vehicle stop and a brief investigation, a 40-year-old Grafton man was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and an inspection sticker violation.

August 18

12:15 a.m. - An officer responded to a Ludwig Road address for the report of a loud party. After further investigation, a 20-year-old Needham woman was issued summons for furnishing alcohol to minors.
9:50 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to a residence on Paul Revere Road for a report of past vandalism. The house was egged and the siding was damaged sometime overnight.


August 20

10:00 a.m. - An officer observed a green Chevrolet pickup truck with an expired inspection sticker on Highland Avenue. It was also discovered by confirmation through dispatch that the vehicle's registration was suspended. The operator, a 49-year-old Middleborough man, was issued a summons for operating a vehicle with suspended registration and an expired inspection sticker.

10:15 p.m. - An officer observed a motor vehicle operating on Highland Avenue without headlights. After the vehicle turned onto Hunnewell Street, the officer activated their blue lights, but the vehicle sped up, still without headlights on. The vehicle continued to speed up and turned onto Andrea Circle where it stopped. The operator, Joshua MacLean, 26 of Peabody, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, failure to stop for a police officer, operating a motor vehicle to endanger, and other motor vehicle infractions.
