Over 50 Stopped for Districted Driving During April's District Driving Month
It was another reminder that texting while driving is never a good idea.

NEEDHAM, MA — Over 50 people in April didn't keep their eyes on the road in Needham and now they have a citation to prove it.
The Needham Police Department announced Wednesday that 52 motor vehicles were stopped for distracted driving related offenses during the month of April. The offenses include crosswalk violations, impeded operation and texting violations.
The stops came as part of District Driving Month and efforts by local police departments to crack down on common practices such as texting while driving. Several local departments received grants from the Highway Safety Division of the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security to allow for extra officers out on patrol to target specific concerns associated with distracted driving.
