Package Theft, Drug Possession: Needham Police Log
The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

December 20
A Warren Street resident came to the police station to report that a rebate check had been stolen. The check had been sent to her rental property address in Chicopee. The check was cashed on Dec. 11 at an unknown bank. The next day, a Human Relations manager of a Highland Avenue restaurant reported that one of their employees had stolen money from the cash register. Needham Police will be seeking complaints against the employee.
December 21

An officer observed a man attempt to leave a Highland Avenue business with items from the store. As a result of an investigation a 36-year-old Boston resident was placed under arrest for shoplifting and ten counts of possession of Class E substance.
December 22
3:30 p.m. - A residence of Bridge Street reported that two packagers were taken from her stoop. This is currently under investigation.

December 23
2:30 a.m. - An officer responded to a South Street residence for a report of taxi fare evasion. On arrival, the officer spoke with both the cab driver and the party that owed the taxi fare. An agreement was that both parties were agreeable to was made and a method of payment was arranged. There were no further issues.
An officer was dispatched to a Highland Avenue business for a report of a man shoplifting. While en route to the business, the officer observed an individual that fit the suspect description. After a brief investigation, a 40-year-old Wellesley resident was issued a summons for shoplifting.
