Police Log: A Trio of Vehicle Break-Ins

The incidents all happened in the Needham Heights area on July 6.

A trio of motor vehicle break-ins had Needham police investigating the Heights area on July 6.

The first larceny was reported at 10:15 a.m. that morning in the area of 128 Arch St. The reporting party stated that a GPS had been taken from his car sometime overnight.

The party stated that his unlocked car was parked in the driveway and that the GPS was in plain view. He related that he was unsure as to an exact time it may have been taken and that "he did not see or hear anything suspicious overnight," according to reports.

At 4:05 p.m. that day, police were dispatched to Bond St. for a report of a motor vehicle breaking and entering that occurred in the Panera Bread parking lot. Upon arrival, officers were met with the reporting party who stated that his Garmin GPS and his paycheck had been stolen from his car.

The vehicle was parked in the main lot and police found no forced entry or damage to the car. Police advised the party to have his paycheck cancelled.

Finally, at 4:38 p.m. a party reported a breaking and entering in the area of 211 Highgate St. The party related that between 10 p.m. the previous evening and 8 a.m. Tuesday two of his vehicles were broken into and "several items were removed." Both vehicles were parked in the man's driveway.

The party reported that the stolen items included a black iPod Touch, an orange iPod Nano, a winning lottery ticket and loose change.

The man stated that he had left both vehicles unlocked during the hours in question.
