Police Log: Car Crash Leads to OUI Charge

January 21

9:30 a.m. - An Officer observed a brown Toyota traveling on Highland Avenue. The vehicle plate was queried and came back to a green Ford. The vehicle was stopped and upon further investigation it was determined that the operator, a 52-year-old male from Maynard, was attaching motor vehicle plates, and operating a motor vehicle with no insurance. A citation was handed to the operator in hand and he was advised that criminal charges will be sought against him. The vehicle was then towed from the scene.

January 22

6:30 p.m. - Officers were dispatched to a Maple Terrace address to serve an arrest warrant on a resident. Matthew Pike, a 43-year-old male resident of Needham, was arrested pursuant to a probation warrant issued out of Norfolk Superior Court.

January 24:

1:00 a.m. - Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Central Avenue and Noyes Street for a report of a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, it was determined that the operator was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Ryan McNeill, 18 of Needham, was arrested for operating under the influence of alcohol and marked lanes violation.
