Police Log: Cars Broken into while Parked in Driveways

Three more thefts last week join a trio reported on July 6.

Burglars last week decided to hit residents where they live, stealing items from right under their noses.

In addition to reports of three motor vehicle break-ins on the same day last week, residents have also reported incidents on Gayland Road, Eayon Road and Pine Hill Drive.

On July 8, a Gaylord Rd. resident reported that someone had broken into his vehicle the night before. Reportedly stolen were the man's wallet and loose change.

Later that day, at about 3:50 p.m., a party brought into the station a wallet that he had found at Charles River and Grove Streets. The wallet only contained a license of its owner.

When police contacted the owner, she reported that the wallet had been left in her unlocked car, also parked in her driveway. She reported that, in addition to the wallet, she was missing an iPod Nano and an undetermined amount of cash.
