Police Log: Computer Stolen from Home

A Central Ave. resident told police that a laptop computer had been stolen from his residence while he was out.

The man reported on July 20 that he arrived home and realized that his Mac Book Pro laptop was missing. He said that he had last seen the computer the night before when he had gone to bed and that it was left in his bedroom. He believes that it was stolen sometime between noon and 4:30 p.m. on the 20^th.

Police checked the building, but found no signs of forced entry. All doors to the building, said officers, were locked upon the reporting party's arrival home.

Officers spoke with a resident who lives in the basement of the home, who told police that she heard footsteps earlier that day. However, the reporting party told police that he was in the residence at that time.

Another party on the scene told police at this time that on May 10 he also had a computer stolen.
