Police Log: Drugs Found after Traffic Complaint Issued

Officers responded to a traffic complaint on Woodbine Circle on July 3 on the basis that the vehicle involved in an incident earlier was now parked at this address. As officers approached the front door, they detected the smell of burnt marijuana.

Officers knocked on the door and noted that the odor of marijuana was more intense within the home. Officer Michael Schlittler told the responding party that they were there to investigate a traffic complaint and looking for the owner of a black Honda.

When in the house, officers saw "numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia on the living room table." Fiver individuals were seated around the table and were asked by police to produce the marijuana. A 20-year-old Needham man was identified as the owner of the materials and cited for a marijuana by-law.
