Police Log: Man Arrested for Illegal Possession of Prescription Pills

Police were called to the scene of Dedham Ave. Automotive on Aug. 20 at 7:24 p.m. to assist in locating a male party on foot in connection with a suspicious motor vehicle.

Dedham PD told Needham officials that the vehicle in question, which was possible stolen, was located on Rte. 128 in Dedham near the Needham line.

Needham officers found the suspect, later identified as John Gray, was located in the automotive parking lot on Dedham Ave.  According to reports, Gray was "evasive and made inconsistent statements" while being questioned by officers.

After investigating, officers located two glassine bags containing various prescription pills, none of which Gray had prescription information for. Gray was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Dedham Police later discovered that the car was not stolen, but that it was unregistered and contained a revoked license plate.
