Police Log: Man Charged with Stealing from Gas Station

Police found seven $20 bills on a man believed to have stolen $140 from a gas station cash register on Aug. 3. The man, a 19 year old from New Bedford, soon after admitted to taking the money after previously denying it several times.

Officers spoke later with the manager of the station, who said that approximately $160 missing from the registers.

The 19-year-old will be summoned to Dedham District Court for larceny under $250.
