A warrant search also found that the man had a warrant out in his name for cocaine possession.

On July 29, at 3:38 p.m., police witnessed a vehicle driving down Linden St. at an estimated speed of 50-55 MPH.

Officer Vincent Springer chased after the vehicle and caught up with it at the driveway of 46 Yurick Rd. The driver, Darell Shanafelt, exited the truck and walked toward Officer Springer while holding a Friendly's ice cream Sunday.

Springer asked Shanafelt, a 45-year-old resident of Florida, why he was driving as fast as he was and Shanafelt related that he was trying to get his ice cream home before it melted.
