Police Log: McDonald’s Trash Dumped on Lawn

Police were dispatched to Bridle Trail Rd. for a report of vandalism on Aug. 17 at 7:45 a.m. A homeowner told officers that someone had been dumping trash on her lawn for the past three mornings.

The woman stated that her husband observed McDonald's trash containers on the front lawn on Aug. 15 and additional take-out food containers on the 16^th. On the 17^th the homeowners observed a large amount of trash containing to-go containers, candy bars and snack food discarded on the lawn.

Police investigated the trash and found items within containing a mailing address. At this time, the reporting party noticed the name on the mail and became "very upset," according to reports. She informed police that the name belonged to a friend of her son who recently had a falling out with the family.

Police took pictures of the scene and collected the two pieces of mail as evidence.
